|Rick||My 4 wheel drive just gave out what could be the most probable cause
|Jason||Do your other low pressure functions work like diff lock, fwa or pto?
Does your dash light turn on and off when you push the button?
FWD is on all the time, spring applied, hyd released; how is your FWA shaft couplers? Front axle coupler could be stripped out..
|Geoff Gane||Rick as I explained to you on this posting in January Jason is backing up what I said, you don't need pressure to put 4wd on,only off.If your 4wd shaft couplers have come off or the splines are torn out it could be caused by your front axle front/rear bushes being worn and allowing the axle to "rock" straining the splines on the couplers and the front diff. You will have to check the easy and obvious causes first before delving into anything more complicated ie the 4wd pack springs..Regards..Geoff
