|Don Smythe||I just acquired a MF240 diesel (Free) that went partially underwater from Hurricane Isabell. It has sat for 4 years with fuel. So far, I have determined the starter is gone due to salt water and the clutch area is somewhat rusted up for the same reason. The tractor will not move when in gear. I've started by pulling the starter and spraying oil in and around the clutch area. I hope to pull the tractor and break loose whatever is frozen?? Could someone please provide the gear shift pattern? Would like to take one step at a time to see if the tractor is worth fixing. Any advice would be appreciated.
