|gregg connell||message for Big Dean .....have broken the shear sleeve on a 283 massey.. can't get the old sleeve off (doesn't seem to be enough room) any help ? Thanks
|Big Dean||Hi Gregg You need the high low lever in high. You then slide the complete coupler onto the front shaft then pull the shaft and coupler from the transmission high low planetary. That should let you remove the shaft and coupler from the rear housing. You then put the new coupler on the shaft and install it in the planetary. Slide the coupler back onto the pinion shaft and replace the big cotter pin.
