|Richard Preston||I have a massey 165 diesel, recently it has stated to make a nock, nock noise located roughly around the bell housing area. You hear a double knock, wait about 6 to 8 seconds and it recurrs. This happens with the tractor running in neutral with the clutch engaged and not engaged.
|Big Dean||If it does it with both clutch disc disengaged it almost has to be in the engine a broken crankshaft will do that but it is a pretty loud knock if that is it. I have seen quite a few AD4-203 with the crankshaft broke in the rear main journal Hope that is not your problem
