|charlie||I am considering buying a 2705. This tractor's motor appears to be solid, but it has no brakes. Are brakes a common problem with this model. If I did have it repaired what would estimated repair costs be and what other things should be replaced while the tractor is apart?
|warren||you can try bleeding the brakes [bleeders on top of axle housings next to center part]..if no brakes check that you have hyd pressure, step on pedal with tractor idling, should squirt out..
otherwise, seals about $50, brake disk [used] $75, pressure plate [used] $75...per side..
have to take axle housings off, bit of a pain by hand, easier with forklift or loader tractor..
just did mine last fall..
