|Chris Hill||I work on a magazine for Massey Ferguson and am looking for interesting stories about owners of the equipment.
I'm most interested in owners of newer equipment, but would love to hear from folks who own heritage equipment. I want to know about how Massey Ferguson equipment impacts your farm/operation or lifestyle. I also don't want to limit this just to farmers. I'd like to hear about folks who use the equipment in unique ways as well.
The best way to reach me is via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
|Carson Goddard||I have a 95 MF 240 4wd with 15508 hrs as of this afternoon when the oil was changed. I has been used mainly w/ a 6' Land Pride rotary cutter. It has a massey front end loader. Only compaint w/ this tractor is the pto seal goes about every 700 hrs even with a new pto shaft. Has only had the alt changed out @ 13758 hrs. Oil changes at every 100 hrs and the tranny and hyd system is drained twice a year. Can't seem to destroy the treactor w/ 5 different operators and cutting open land which is unimproved (very rough) with a weed height of 6-8 ft of dog fennel and 2-3 foot of heavy grass or weed. Has been a best purchase for the money spent.. Another nuance is the quick disconnects seem to eat the orings fairly quickly.
