|RUSS EGAN from Australia||can someone tellme what colour these tractors were orignally painted
|Jim Turner||My understanding is that the Fergurson 35 were all grey, same as TE( ) 20s while the Massey Fergurson 35 ( after Massey Harris involved ) had a Massey red bonnet/dash, tank, guards and seat with the engine/gearbox/axles, wheels, seat bracket and grille in Ferguson grey. I am not sure of the colour for the standard TE type seat, the red is for the cushioned 'de luxe' seat.
The badge on the MF35 was different to the pressed name plate on the Fergurson, so it is easy to distinguish the two.
Some years ago, the nearest we could get to Massey Harris red was International red. I don't know the difference.
|Russell Lane||I have not got my head around what years but Ferguson 35s were grey bbonnet, guards etc with a gold chassis.
