|Jerry M||anyone had a problem with relief valve sticking? oil pressure gauge was going up and down sometimes it would stay up sometimes it would stay down engine hot or cold made no difference. pulled pan to check pick up tube it looked OK, CHECKED GEARS IN OIL PUMP they looked ok would pump oil when tube was in pan of oil and you turned pump, noticed oil coming out relief valve took it apart plunger would not come out finally I used air hose and held tube closed blew pressue in top and plunger came out now it will slide out with a little shaking of pump one side looks of plunger looks like it has been rubbing, I thought it might stick open.
