brakes

john hi! the brakes on my 135 mf are covered with oil and i want to fix this as i have no brakes. how hard a job is this and how would i do it? thanks----john

Alan Lewis The hub seals have gone. have the half shaft bolts slackend off,
You will need to drain the oil and withdraw the halfshafts take note of the shims which may be broken up if the bolts are loose, you will need to drill and split the collers holding on the bearings and seals then a good press with addaptor to fit the housing to press off bearing,
To reassemble.1.new seals 2.press on bearings (lightly grease) 3.heat up new collers not red hot, and shrink onto shaft.you will then need to replace halfshafts and shim the end float
