MF 235 tachometer/cable rotation direction
|Tanner||I am replacing the tach gauge. I ordered a replacement tach and checked the cable to ensure it spins and the direction it rotates. Looking at the cable, it spun counterclockwise. I ordered a anti clockwise gauge (the only tachs I find online for this model are
The tach came but will not work when the tractor is on. I can spin the tach with a drill counter clockwise. I can also spin the tach with the cable but in the opposite direction it rotates when tractor is on.
My questions: are 1) when teferencing the direction, is it as you look at the cable or as it attaches to the back of the gauge? Does massey make a tach that rotates clockwise for the 235? Can the rotation if the cavle be changed?
