MF 1540 No temperature reading

Buster Hey folks. My MF 1540 has quit showing temperature most of the time. Occasionally it will show a reading, but usually bottomed out at zero. Anyone know if this would most likely be the sensor, gauge, or thermostat? Any help would be appreciated. Just makes me nervous not knowing how hot she's running! Thanks!
IHTimmy Check your connection on your sendingThe connection might not be good enough or not tight it could be the female and the slides on the on the male and on the sending unit could be the connection there then look at your gauge if you see it and make sure the wires are tight on gage then at that does not work take the wire off the sending unit and ground it and at that gauge move the over to hot that means that sending unit is bad try this
