MF 1010 diesel
|Joe||I have a MF 1010, It seems to be running OK. It starts right up. Once running it starts smoking. The smoke seems to be coming from the oil pan. Any ideas, Is this a serious problem? Expensive Fix?
|ponymare||Is the smoke coming from the pan, or from the crankcase breather? is the oil milky or extra thin, does it smell like diesel fuel? If all seems ok, then depending of hours, it could be blowby from he rings.
|Joe||When I pull the dipstick it has smoke coming out. There some some smoke coming from aroung the crankcase. The oil does not seem to be milky or extra thin. Oil level has not changed.
|ponymare||Is there a vent on the valve cover with a hose that might go to the intake manifold or run down under the tractor, it might be stopped up.
|Joe||I'll need to take a look at that. I'm not sure. I will be checking it out this weekend again. Any more suggestions would be helpful.
|IHTimmy||Run for a well get the hyd oil hot it could be hyd pump leaking
