|kevin||Can someone tell me if the Massey 35 (diesel) has a live PTO?
Can this tractor handle a 5' bush hog or a 5' (heavy Gill) box blade?
I've had my MF35 diesel for 15 years, and can tell you that it can easily handle the equipment you mentioned. I've only had 2 tractors, but this one does everything that I need. (Power steering would be nice, however).
The PTO has 2 operating positions, one proportional to engine speed, and one proportional to ground speed. I use the former when using my brush-hog so that I can get the blades spinning (using the 2-stage clutch) before I move forward.
|William||I have a Massey Ferguson 35 Deisel. The PTO won't engage or disengage when using the 5' brush hog. The PTO spins when there is nothing attached to it. I am able to start the tractor with it in gear and then it works great, but then I can't disengage. Any ideas?
