massey 1100 high range
|andy||just bought a massey 1100 and the high range will not stay in. my father told me this was a common problem with this tractor but cant seam to find it anywhere on the internet. does anyone no why this keeps jumping out of high range or has anyone else had this problem? thanks for any help!
I had the same problem with my 1100. Mine was a simple fix...A mouse had built a nest under the linckages. If you open the cover at the bottom of the console, you should find a bunch of dirt and crud. This dirt just wont let the shifter lock into place.
|nick||Sometimes the problem can be slack in the linkages that won't let the lever lock in or it could also be a worn linkage that may have to be replaced.
