||I recently purchased a 1989 MF1030. When it gets good and warmed up their is a small oil leak at one of the lower bolts that breaks the engine from the clutch and also a very slight leak at a small bleed hole on the bottom of the clutch housing. When the engine cools down the leak stops. The engine has 1640 hrs and was overhauled at 1500 hrs. Is this just the seal or do I have a leaking rear main bearing seal. If so how serious is that? Thanks for any help.
||sounds like a back main engine bearing seal. it might not have been installed correctly or their might be a defect in the seal. when you find out what it is let me know.
||It almost has to be a leak at the rear main bearing seal. Since the leak is so small for now I just poured a bottle of oil treatment in it and will keep a close eye on it.
