||I used to have a tractor that had a name plate under the steering wheel that said Harry ferguson. my friends don't beleave me. Also i think it was the first tractor to have three point hitch. can anyone HELP!!!
||According to my book, the Ford 9n had limited production in 1939, built by ford & distributed by Fergusun-Sherman and later by Harry Ferguson, inc. The 9n was the grandaddy of the 3 point hitch and built in hydraulic system. Production ended in 1942 and was modified into the 2n tractor wich was then produced until 1947. Hope this helps.
Guys, you need to remember that the first tractor to go into production was the Ferguson Brown, biult in England by David Brown. This was Harry Fergusons first 3pl tractor. The Ferguson brown was released around 1936, before any Ford tractors were produced with 3pl.
