MF255 1 forward gear only (H&L)

Jerry Just got a MF255. It currently only seems to have 1 forward gear in both high and low. It's weird though...when I shift the transmission into what should be first gear it bogs down, but won't move. Put the shifter into what should be neutral, moves forward. Put the shifter into what should be second gear, bogs down, won't move. I can go through all of the gears and the same thing happens, bogs in gear, moves forward in neutral. Both High and Low. (if high/low shifter is in neutral tractor will not move) Anyone know what could cause this?
Scott Wilson My 255 will do the same thing. it is stuck in a gear but the shifter tang is no longer in that gear's fork. To remedy, remove large plug located left of gear selector. Inside you should see the forks. You will note one is not in line with the other two. using a long screwdriver or small diameter pry bar, move the misplaced fork so all slots are in line.
