MF 65 serial number
|Garland Lowery||I have recently purchased 2 MF 65's , one gas and one diesel multi power. I am looking for a key to the letters in the serial numbers. The MF 65 gas is SSM651157, I have figured out that it was manufactored in 1958, but what do the SSM stand for? Same question with the diesel, serial number is CDW710465, I think the W is for the multi power, D for diesel? Manf date is 1964. Thanks so much for any and all information
|GEEBEE||I haven't heard of a SSM prefix, are you sure the middle letter isn't a G for gas, the first S is standard width and the M is dual clutch.
Your other is C-high clearance, D-diesel, W-multipower.
