TO-20 dies but starts right back up
|Mike Binienda||I have a TO-20 that will run fine from 5 minutes to 20 minutes just fine, but will shut off with little initial power loss.
I have replaced all spark plugs, plug wires, coil, rotor/points/condenser, & rebuilt the carb.
When it stopped, I pulled a plug and the spark looked good; I also pulled the carb bowl plug, and had a good stream of gas coming out.
It is still a 6 volt system.
|Mike Binienda||One thing I forgot to mention, is that the tractor starts back up with no problem, right after shutting down.
It would seem to be a carb adjustment problem, but already have the power jet adjustment 4 turns open.
|zeke jackson||I have the same problem, any ideas out there?
|darren||I had the same problem. I tried the same things. Turned out to be the air filter. Remove the canister bottom and clean the screen. Refill the canister with clean oil to the proper level. That should do it.
