MF50 Tractor won't start

Charles Arwood Went out one day and tractor wouldn't turn over. Took new battery out and charged.....still wouldn't turn over. Tested starter button and key ignition switch and both worked. I replaced the starter relay and checked wires...still wouldn't turn over.
Question: "If the neutral start switch is defective will the tractor still start in neutral?" Any help you could give me would be most appreciated.

jim no. if nuetral saftey switch is jiggered it wont matter where lever is positioned. find switch and remove wires and temporaraly join wires. if it starts great, get a new switch straight away do not leave saftey switch disabled! if it doesnt start, re-check starter. jim
