MF 1010 Massey Ferguson won't hold hydro fluid, won't drive on gear, leaking
Hope someone can offer some advice to my problem. I have a 1986 MF1010 Hydro 2WD tractor. I just bought it used and when I got it home it was leaking hydraulic fluid like crazy from the underside of the tractor. It appears to be leaking in 3 different spots. It will barely move. Does anyone have any idea of the cost to repair or possible problems that is causing the tractor to leak so badly? I paid $1500.00 for it witha KING KUTTER brush mower attachment. The guy has offered to give me my money back but I am not sure what to do at this point!

Hydro 1010's seem to be known for hydro pump failure, and from what I've read, you cannot get that part anymore. Hard to know what's leaking, but I think you'd have to split the tractor to even find out.
The gear driven models seem to be pretty good ones. Everything wears out sometime though, including us!
You could talk to a local dealer if you have one and find out what they think; then make your decision.
Good luck with it.
