2002 Massey Ferguson 251XE
|Allen||I recently purchased a 2002 Massey Ferguson 251XE. I attached my Bushhog, adjusted the rpm to proper level depressed the clutch then tried to engage my pto but only received gear grind. I do not have a owners manual to look up proper engagement. What am I doing wrong to engage my pto?
|Pat Hunt||The clutch is dual stage with pto first. I have to push it all the way in - engage the pto lever to the left of the seat - and make sure it engages at no more than 1000 rpm - and then bring it up to speed. Then select what gear I want to use and let the clutch out the rest of the way.
