gutless 255 massey ferguson
|Darren|| I own a 255 Massey Ferguson with a 236 Perkins engine and it is very gutless it is Supposed to be 50-55 horsepower and I am betting it is probably only 30 - 40 so I was hoping somebody out their could help me figure out what is wrong with it so I can get that power back.
|Ronnie||I would start with a compression test, and compare readings with what is spec for your tractor.
|LenR||Check air filters, it probably has 2, one inner, one outer.
Check fuel filter.
Does it start easy or hard? How many hours? My 255 dyno'ed at 62 before I had to rebuild my injector pump, it was turned up a little too much, no probably around 55.
It could be the injector pump :-(
