MF Alternator

David Burnis Wolfe I am an Ag Teacher, and the school where I teach has a MF 175 Tractor. The alternator is not wired in properly, and quite frankly the whole wiring system is a mess. I need to get the battery to charge, and I'm not sure what to hook where. Someone please give me some pointers!
Mike Raby Its a gm style alternator, 3 wire hookup. The big stud on the back hooks directly to the battery at the starter lug. Looking at it from the back, the left prong is the field wire and must be switched, connects to the key switch. the right prong goes to the volt meter or idiot light. Google- wiring a Delco Alternator for a picture its very easy. Good Luck, Mikey from EmseaMotorsports
