Brake applying in reverse

Vikki I have a MF-65 and when in reverse the brake applies . Hoping somebody can be of assistance
Steven : I have a MF-65 and when in reverse the brake applies . Hoping somebody can be of assistance

1) make sure there isn't some brush grass etc bundled up under the tractor that tugs on the brake rod when you back up.
2)Is it both brakes or just one side? If just one side you probably have a broken shoe that rides OK when in forward and then backs up and catches when you reverse. The brakes aren't imposible to get at on that tractor. Just be sure you have it well supported when you take the axcel housing off. Hope this helps.
