|Jerry B||I have a rear seal leaking on left wheel and was wondering how hard it is to repair. Also the governor doesn't work and was wondering if it is hard to replace or even if that is what's wrong with it. It won't rev. up when you get it under a load. I have a 135 Massey Ferguson.
|GEEBEE||It ain't too hard of a job. Remove wheel and brake drum, unbolt and slide axle out. There is an inner and outer seal, the inner just slides off but the outer seal is behind the bearing and bearing retainer, this retainer is "shrunk" on and has to be cut off and a new one installed, unless you have the means to do this take the axle to a machine shop and have them do it. Sorry cain't help on the govenor.
