|D. Grant England||Can anyone help me identify the steering gear box on my mf to35 serial #sgm198539. I have the I&t shop manual but my steering box is different. There is only noe steering sector gear side cover on the left that I assume allows me to remove both sector gears from that side. Also there are no lash adjusting screws on either side. So far I have not found any part or cast numbers on outside of the case. Not sure if this is off a different model tractor or just a variation not covered by the book. I need to rebuild it but would prefer a diagram/instruction for reassmbly and adjusting. Thanks. dge
|GEEBEE||Sounds like you have the correct box, those I&T manuals are little more than useless. You should be able to find a Genuine Fergie manual on ebay.
|John Atlas Smith||I have a LT133 (10 years old) and it, sometimes,
slips when I steer it. Please anyone can advise:
1. What causes the slip?
2. May I know whether it needs to rebuild the
steering box too?
3. Does it have a steering box and how to get
it out for rebuilding?
Thanks in advance. -- John A.
