|Miles||Oil is leaking from the water pump on my MF 20c. I was told this might be a failed front crank oil seal. No oil is leaking from any wher near the actual seal why does it come out of the water pump. It seems improbable.
|curt||Hi,doesn't sound right to me either, How much oil is coming from the pump area? If it's a lot of oil Its probaly coming from the valve cover, If not very much and seeping from around the shaft it could be a sealed bearing going bad. I think that the only way a lot of oil coming from water pump would be mixed with water coming out of the engine block, so if no water, oil is coming from some where else,
|Miles||sorry stupid mistake its comming form the hydrolic pump I hope it is just a worn out seal.
