|DON||I purchased a MF-35 deluxe with factory power steering. The oil in the steering gear box was over full and light weight. It appears the seal in the piston housing is leaking and filling the steering gearbox with power steering oil.
Can anyone tell me the correct weight oil that should be used in the steering gearbox?
The power steering resivoir oil looks like ATF oil is that the correct oil?
|shaun wallace||atf is correct p.s. fluid. the gearbox used same oil. control portion and gear box common comparment. is oil coming out under steering wheel.
|Don||There is no oil coming out from under the steering wheel. There are leaks coming from around the shafts for the pitman arms but they don't have oil seals only the factory dust seals. Is this just a common problem or is there a fix?
