|Edward Gray||Hi iv been looking to buy a tractor for a while now.
have managed to find one its a massey 590.
has 3 double spools
4600 genuine hours
good tyres all round
in total working condition.
offered at £4000 with no vat is this a good deal do you think?
any problems to look out for with this model?
any help much apreciated!
|Marky F||Sounbds like a fair enough price to me... but... watch out for cab moth problems... they suffer from rust moth quite badly on the roof and rear arches... and the cab is one piece on the 500 series... so it's a patch it up job if she needs repairing...
Other than that... Only the usual problems with any tractor... check for play in the steering an axle - especially if she's been on a loader at some point...
Later models had a two door cab... so use this as a bargaining tool if you need to !
All the best with it... lets us know how you get on
|Edward Gray||Bought for £4000 hardly any rust on any of the tractor only a bit on the one door around the glass, so were know looking for a new door frame.
regards ed gray
