||My LX277 has a problem with stalling during hot weather. The engine acts as if it not getting fuel. I have changed the fuel filter, but that did nothing to help the problem. The engine will run for a while, usually about an hour, and then it will stall. If you let the mower sit for 5-10 minutes it will start again and you can mow some more, but it will continue to stall at shorter and shorter intervals. Late last summer it got so bad you could only mow 5-10 minutes before it would stall. I took the tractor in to a JD Dealer for service and they claimed they could not duplicate the problem, but performed there standard maintenance for several hundred dollars. The tractor has run fine up to now, but has started stalling again now that we are into the hot August weather here in Maryland. Has any body else experienced this problem?
||replace the coil.
||my sister in tenn.had same problems..turned out to be the coil..j.d.dealer said they had a few w/that problem..solved now
||Not the same problem, but after I get through cutting the yard and clean the deck and the mower, after setting for a week, it will not crank again. Have checked it and not found anything wrong. Took it to JD dealership, it ran fine, brought it back home, used it once, now the same problem is still here!

||I had a problem with mine stalling it turned out to be the control box. You may want to check the fuel cuttoff at the carb.
