|Richard Reed||My 1954 John Deere "50" is jumping out of first gear. This is a six speed gear box. My question is this. Does anyone know if the late styled Model "B" transmission gears would be interchangable with the "50"?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
|lonzo||use b and 50 parts books and see if there the same numbers
|wyohobbyfarmer||Hello; Was wondering about the trans. problem with your 50 and if the "B" parts might interchange. I have a 50 also, with the same problem only with 2nd gear mostly. Seems like the problem with mine is also with between the low gears(1,2,4) and the higher gears (3,5,6) and shifting back and forth. Something doesn't seem to be quite right. Would be interested in how your making out with fixing your Trans problem. Thanks
