Lynas Does anyone have an opinion on this model. Good or Bad?
ross Is it an MFWD, Powershift or Quad Range transmission? I personally like the "50" series tractors. There are a few things to look for if buying one. Check to see if the dealership or previous owner took off the air conditioner timer kit, the timer kit uses time instead of pressure to turn the compressor on or off. Another thing is to check the alternator wiring on the pigtail. The 50 series are notorious for the wires becoming brittle. I really like the powershift models, if the transmisson seems jerky on shifts make them check the transmission accumulator. Also make sure the SCV's are Pioneer couplers, I have seen people put earlier SCV's on as they are cheaper to replace.
Lynas Thanks for comment and advice Ross. I`m looking to buy one with MFWD and powershift options as a spray tractor. Cheers.
ross The "50" series tractors use a ZF front axle. I would ask the dealer if the seals have been done recently and make sure the MFWD works. Good luck.
