|Scott Turbyeville||I just took over my father's cattle ranch after his sudden death. I have never owned a J.D. tractor. I have a 4020 that did not start today. Where do you spray starting fluid? It turns over and smoke comes from the stack, but will not start. Thanks for your help.
|jddoc||You spray ether into a fitting under the dash . Sitting in the seat it is right below the dash. You must remove a cap and take the spray nozzle off the ether can, a pipe then runs to the intake manifold.
|rueder||Just under the steering wheel you will see a black unscrewable cap. You attached a can with a trigger to inject into the system
|kyle||Mine doesnt work so if yours is like that then spray it in the pre cleaner bowl in front of the muffler. I did that to my 3020 and it started right up.
