2140 Hydraulics not getting oil!!
|Mark||Hey all, my first post here..
I have a 2140, which is not getting any oil to the hydraulic pump.
It seems to be the transmission pump, which supplies the front hydraulic pump.
Replacing this pump requires splitting tractor, and with FEL, and factory cab it would be a huge job.
Anybody know if this pump does anything else, like transmission lubrication, or its solely there to supply hydraulic pump, in which case, possibly fitting an exterior oil supply pump without leaving some parts of the transmission high and dry??
|Bob||yes this pump supplys oil for hi-lo shift it also lubricates hi-lo shift unit and synchronizer blocks and lubs the bearings for diff drive shaft.
|Bob||Are you sure main hydralic pump not getting oil i had same problem on my 2140 and found a pipe from the main hyd pump on the right side of the trans housing below cab was out of place inside the trans housing follow return line from main pump at front to the block where it goes into trans housing this block has a cpl of bolts to remove block after block removed you can see if insert that inside line goes into has come out of place u have to drain trans hyd oil before u remove block
|Bob||Hope this helps if you have any further questions just post and i will watch and we can get into this deeper
