Heavy clutch

Blake I have a John Deere 2555 2wd and has a very stiff clutch peddle the peddle has a lot of I guess you could call it upward and downward pressure (hard to push down and when letting up on the clutch it has a lot of upward force) the clutch does not slip but the throw out bearing does make a grinding sound when pulling out clutch holds very well but the clutch peddle is very hard to push and let out doesn't seem to get better or worse when using the tractor

ponymare And when the throw out bearing comes apart, and the hub goes through the pressure plate fingers, then you can split the tractor, and replace everthing clutch related.
