JD 2350 Electrical problems
|Walter Plaut||The hour meter on my JD2350 has quit working and I need to change the fan belt. I was told that when changing the belt I should change the little cushion that is part of the hydraulic pump shaft. Anyone have any thoughts on why the meter isn't working and how to change the belt? Does the radiator need to come out? Thanks
|Jim R.||Hi Walt,
Is the hour meter mechanical or electric? Is the tach still working? If elctrical, maybe a fuse or connection. If mechanical maybe the drive cable, or loose fitting.
Fan belt, I'm not exactly familiar with that tractor, but I would bet you could change belt without removing radiator. If you have to take lovejoy or power coupler apart to replace belt, then you might as well replace the damper while your there with it busted apart.
Can you send, or upload, some digital pictures?
