2004 5203 lift trouble

George HELP! My 2004 5203 rock shaft is stuck in the up position. What could be causing this problem.
Larry Jolley I have a 5303 with the same problem. I was told that this is a known problem with these tractors and that JD has redesigned the rockshaft control valve and in some cases they have replaced it as a warranty issue. This is a corrosion problem that affects a piston on the rockshaft control valve. You can remove the seat with two bolts and then access the rockshaft control valve and remove it with two bolts. Stablize the lift arms first or the hydrolic fluid with spray all over as the arms fall. The rockshaft control valve can be cleaned and in some cases it will resolve the problem. This is the second time I've had this problem in two years. JD should do the right thing and warranty this known defect. They won't. I filing a complaint with the BBB against them for this faulty part and lack of repair.
Benoit Landelle Same thing here with a 5525N...but we waited a week to finish the harvest and the casting where the 2 motorised arm connects to the tractor cracked and now the dealer is charging us 5500$ for the fix...We are really pissed. Please tell me what to do to fill a complaint to!!!
