john deere 1010
|steve danielczyk||i have a john deere 1010, the motor was siezed up for about 6 years. i pulled the head off, and noticed the rings rusted to the cylinders. upon removing the sleeve plate and sleeves, 3 of the 4 sleeves crumbled apart. does anyone know where i could find sleeves, sleeves pistons and rings, for this? i have found several for the john deere 2010, but i am not sure if this would work in my tractor. the kits i have found for the 2010 come with all parts needed, except for the sleeve plate. could i use my 1010 plate and have it machined to fit the 2010 cylinders?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
