JD 310D Backhoe Electrical issue.
|Robert C.||I have the above backhoe. When running, all of the dash lights are lit and the battery dies during running. When it sits, the battery stays fine.
Any help here?
|Leonard||When you say all your dash lights are lit, do you have a big "Red Stop" light flashing as well? If so then you have a direct short somewhere in the system. Have you looked under your dash to see if mice or some other rodents have chewed your wiring and caused a short? Also look under the hood or any where there is wiring that could be shorted. I have also seen the alternators short out and cause your problem but usually that will kill the system entirely.
