John Deere 950 utility tractor
|Joe Jones||Last week I started my John Deere 950 after it had sat for couple of years.I cannot raise or lower the bucket without some difficulty. The bucket will not tilt at all, nor will the rear scraper mechanism raise or lower. How do I repair?
|Leon||My guess is a clogged strainer in the transmission. Drain all the oil out of the transmission. Remove and clean the strainer that is underneath the transmission and if you have power steering replace the filter for that(it should be underneath the right hand running board). Replace the transmission oil with a high quality oil like Kubota UDT, John Deere HyGaurd or New Holland M134. If that doesn't fix it you might want to take a pressure reading and see how the hydraulic pump is doing.
