Adjusting Deck height on JD111
|Bob||According to the owner's manual, I pull back the lift lever and hold that position while I move the height adjuster to the desired level (i.e.,1,2,3 inches). Problem is the desired level does not stay. After removing the battery I can see how the mechanism works....there is a spring between two washers and as I pull back on the adjuster handle, I can select which saw-tooth level I want problem is the desired level /adjustment does hold. So my questions are...
1. Do I have all the parts and are they in the right place.
2. Is there some "trick" to setting the height adjustment?
Many thanks for any & all suggestions and comments.
Experienced that with my 111.
Replace that spring you see between
the washers on the tooth level.
No dought it's worn and won't hold
tension. A hassle - mower deck has to be removed so you can get to the part from below.
Put her all back together same as before.
Worked for me. Height adjuster
works fine now. Bo
