water temp light for 850 tractor
|Jack Shore||The water temp light comes on on my 1978 john deere 850 tractor after about 30 minutes of mowing with a 6' sitrex finishing mowing deck. The engine is not overheated and the coolant checks out fine. any ideas?
|Stan||My Yanmar once had an unexplained heat light. It turned out to be a partially clogged muffler. Replaced muffler and back to normal. The light will come on before it gets hot enough to boil over. If this is the guage you're using to determine that it's not actually getting too hot, then you may be in that middle area between the light and boil over.
