318 onan b43g starter reassembly
|Preston||ok, I took starter apart because it started to rotate weakly, so i disassembled it and i celaned the brushes and i am now ready to put it back together. does anyone know any tricks to hold the brushes in while i slide the winding back into the case. I only need it to get me throught the snow blowing season so i dont want to purchase a new one.
Make a tool from a piece of sheet metal such as a piece of wide banding strap. Load the brushes and hold them while you put it together.
Sorry drawing didn't come out right the first time.
