JD LX266 needs mew transmission
|Dave||Our JD LX266 lawn tractor, which is 4 years old and has about 240 hrs on it needs a new hydrostatic transmission. It was lurching when you would put it into gear. I com-plained to JD ad they opened an out of warranty assistance claim. I have not heard back from them yet.
Is it me, or should a transmission on a $3500 tractor last longer than mine did? The mechanic said that we did nothing wrong and thinks the odds are pretty good that we will receive some assistance from JD.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Do they tend to stand behind their product? The bill is $1000.
