||Got my new LA135 home and on my first cut noticed saw-toothing. When i checked the deck it was significantly out of level. Anybody had this issue from the factory? could there be a larger issue that i should look for?
||Not sure there are any larger issues, but leveling the deck is something that the dealer should have done before delivering it. First, check air pressures in the tires, should be around 15 psi in the front, 12 in the rear. Then level the deck from side to side at the blade tips (not the deck housing) The front should be 1/8" to 1/4" lower in the front than the rear. Looking under the tractor you will see threaded rods in the hangers for adjustment.
||Mine was delivered today and first mowing was a disaster got me wondering the same thing. It skipped, gouged stair stepped and rather than mulch just shoved all the cut grass under the deck. after 4 mowings most of the mulch was only somewhat better. But I am po'ed and seriously embarrassed at how my lawn looks. Any barber would be shot for such a lousy haircut. The dealer who said it was ready to go will get both ears full from me tomorrow, my even get the ---- thing back. Figured for $2031 I was entitled to a good performing mower. Glad my completely wore out old craftsman still sits sadly by.It may get seriously rebuilt. I will not put up with this deere joker. Oh,my lawn is really mostly quite level and smooth with no hills just one short bank.
