|joe holtzlander||I have a 1982 J-D model 750 tractor with a 3 cyl. yanmar diesel engine. It has 500 hrs. on it and been well maintained. My problem is it starts fine but after about 6-10 minutes it loses power and will just about stall out. Let it sit for a few minutes and it will start right back up and run fine for 6-10 minutes. I've temperally removed fuel filter, thermostat, wires to oil and temp. units and drained fuel tank.
|jeff||Look at a running hot possibility. Had a 950,same problem, temp sender was bad and was overheating until it stalled out. Temp light never switched on.
|Bill Chapman||My 1981 or 1982 John Deere 750 diesel is also overheating after about 1/2 hour. The radiator is boiling over. I have changed the anti-freeze without solving the overheating problem.
Gosh, I hope I don't have a Yanmar engine! How do I tell?
