JD 850 Engine Repair

Mark Wisner Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel 22.237hp

Dropped a valve in number two cylinder .
Need to replace liner and rod bearings.
How do I replace liners without sending block to machine shop. Are over size rod ends available.

Mike It has wet liners, no machining is required. Connecting rods only come in one size, however rod bearings are available undersize. Not sure what you mean about over size rod ends.

Mark Wisner Mike thanks for the info. I will measure wear and purchase an over size rod bearing.
What kind of T puller do I need to remove the liner.

Mike Usually a brass punch will do, just tap it up on the bottom flange.
Mark Wisner Mike :
Thanks for the help.
I have everthing of out of the block. I need to get the crank turned. Maybe I will take the block in to be cleaned and new bearings installed. I measured the crank at it is worn .010 on the rod journal were the bearing was spun. Can the crank be turned to fix. . What do you suggest I have done to the block?
