|jamie smith||I've got a jd 5820 forager which wont last much longer but the engine (619) has plenty of life , so i am thinking of putting engine into a tractor. I know the only easy bolt on options are 5010/5020/6030 and the articulated models but i am looking only for a tractor for heavy pto work, not pulling . I would also prefer something modern with quiet cab. My thoughts were a jd 7600, these are not to expensive compared to the smaller 6000 series and since the engine is frame mounted then there wont be the bellhousing problems with a transplant into older style 4000 series tractors. Will the pto driveline take 280 horse power?
