engine swap

jamie smith I've got a jd 5820 forager which wont last much longer but the engine (619) has plenty of life , so i am thinking of putting engine into a tractor. I know the only easy bolt on options are 5010/5020/6030 and the articulated models but i am looking only for a tractor for heavy pto work, not pulling . I would also prefer something modern with quiet cab. My thoughts were a jd 7600, these are not to expensive compared to the smaller 6000 series and since the engine is frame mounted then there wont be the bellhousing problems with a transplant into older style 4000 series tractors. Will the pto driveline take 280 horse power?
gb That engine was notorious for problems in the 5020, 6030, and everthing else. There is no way I would mess with putting it in anything else. Sell it to someone else that needs one. If the head is actually still flat someone will want it.
