|Al B.||A lot of times I go to start my JD stx38 and there is nothing, no cranking,noise or anything just like there is no battery. I can hear a click when I pull up the blade engagement knob though. After SEVERAL attempts and convulsions it will turn over and start. Could it be some sort of safety switch for the PTO and where might I find this rascal. Thanks for any help you can give.
|ross||You probably need a starter relay or a starter solenoid.
|chance||bad connection at the battery can do this too sometimes, bad wire, could be a list of problems firstly clean and check your cables oh and check your ground on the unit too
